Stonegate and Great Park are nearby farmers market options, but neither is in Woodbury.
Irvine has a real, certified farmers market network, and none of it sits inside Woodbury's boundary. The certified market that used to sit at the Great Park moved to Stonegate Elementary in November 2024 and now runs Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the Orange County Certified Farmers Markets program. Tanaka Farms has its own market with a working farm attached. Mariners Church runs one over in Newport Coast. Woodbury has zero. Not a smaller version, not a seasonal one that closes in winter. None.
Instead of a weekly produce market, Woodbury offers other options for weekend gatherings.
What Fills the Space Instead
Woodbury's actual public gathering ground is the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, and it works nothing like a market. There is no vendor to browse, no stall to skip. It is a strip of paved path, close to five miles long, running with mild inclines under sycamores and past a creek bed and scattered boulders, connecting Woodbury north toward Cypress Village and Avella. It is free, it is open every day, and it asks nothing of you beyond showing up. Irvine's parks system as a whole was ranked No. 2 in the country by the Trust for Public Land's ParkScore index this year, and the trail is one of the reasons that ranking holds up on the ground rather than just on paper.
The trail is the one piece of Woodbury's outdoor life that behaves like a farmers market would: always there, no schedule to memorize, no gate to check.
Other neighborhood amenities follow their own schedules.
Woodbury Community Park and Its Reservation Rules
Woodbury Community Park sits at Long Meadow and Jeffrey, ten point seven acres built around a playground split into separate zones for older and younger kids, plus four hard-surface, lighted pickleball courts. The playground is open to anyone who walks in. The pickleball courts are not. Reservations require Woodbury community residency.
The community center follows its own separate schedule: weekdays 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturdays until 10 p.m., Sundays noon to 6 p.m., with reservation windows that mirror those hours. None of that is unusual for a homeowners' association amenity. What is unusual is how it sits directly beside a five-mile trail that has no schedule at all, inside the same ten-minute walk.
So Woodbury's outdoor life splits cleanly in two:
- Open to anyone, any day: the Jeffrey Open Space Trail, the playground structures at Woodbury Community Park
- Scheduled and residency-gated: the pickleball courts, the community center's reservable rooms and hours
The trail and the scheduled amenities offer different ways to experience Woodbury's outdoor spaces.
The Market That Actually Shows Up
Woodbury Town Center runs its own version of a market, but it sells crafts, not carrots. The Modern Makers Mart pop-ups bring more than thirty vendors selling jewelry, ceramics, textiles and home goods, alongside kids' crafts and live music, a handful of times a year rather than every week. The 2026 calendar ran an Outdoor Mart on May 9 and 10, a Midsummer Mart on August 8 and 9, with a Fall Mart set for October 10 and 11 and a Holiday Mart on November 14 and 15.
If you miss a date, the next opportunity is the next fair on the list rather than the next weekend.
The Town Center runs a second calendar layered on top of the maker's fairs: a summer concert series in the courtyard, Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m., that closed out its 2026 run with sets from Autumn Melody Thomas, Shea Givens, David Rosales, Adam Lasher and Just Landed across five consecutive Saturdays in July and early August. If you were traveling those weekends, that series has already wrapped for the year. The Town Center also hosts a Lunar New Year Night Market each winter with a live DJ, a lion dance, acrobatics and a snake handler presentation, with food from Shin Sen Gumi Yakitori and CHA for Tea.
None of these events repeat on a fixed weekly rhythm the way a farmers market does. They cluster, then go quiet for months.
How Woodbury's Events Are Scheduled
A weekly farmers market offers a recurring option, while Woodbury's concerts and maker fairs take place on selected dates. If you missed the August concert series, the next courtyard music doesn't return until next summer. If you missed the Midsummer Mart in early August, the next maker's fair is the Fall Mart in October.
Residents interested in these events may want to follow the calendar. The trail is available every day, while the pickleball courts, concerts, craft fairs and night market follow their respective schedules.
